Court of Justice of the European Union judgment on Prorogation. 1 October 2014

Today the CJEU handed down judgment on the Preliminary Reference made by the English Court of Appeal on the issue of whether parties could prorogue jurisdiction to a court for a child’s minority or only for one set of proceedings.

David Williams QC, Teertha Gupta QC and Henry Clayton presented ‘A Tale of Two Cities: Where Shall we Divorce Dear?’  to Charles Russell LLP on 9.9.14. The seminar considered jurisdiction on divorce, choice of forum and stays. You can download the paper here.

Pegasus Scholarship

Rachel Chisholm and Michael Edwards have been awarded a Pegasus Scholarship to work in Sarajevo for three months. They will be working for an NGO called Trial on war crimes and human rights cases.
