Michael Sternberg KC Honoured with OBE for Services to Faith and Integration

Michael Sternberg KC has been made an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in the King’s Birthday Honours List for 2024, recognising his outstanding contributions to promoting faith and integration.
Michael is the President of the Faith & Belief Forum. He was Chair of the Board of Trustees of 3FF and later F&BF from 2009 until 2022, also Chair of the Trustees of the Sternberg Charitable Foundation since 2018.
He has been active in interfaith work for over 30 years, earning recognition for his contributions:-
- In 1990, he received a Benemerenza Medal from the (Catholic) Sacred Constantinian Order of St George;
- In 2013, he was made a Knight of the Royal Order of Francis I (Italy), and in 2018, he was promoted to Knight Commander of the Royal Order of Francis I.
- In 2019, he was awarded the Cross of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany for his contribution to interfaith work.
Vice-Chair of the Bar Council and Joint Head of Chambers, Barbara Mills KC, who worked alongside Michael as a trustee of the charity – from its first iteration as The Three Faiths Forum commented: “Michael has dedicated himself tirelessly to the vital work of interfaith dialogue, integration, collaboration, and understanding.
